Katy Perry Dazzles In Pastel Pink For American Idol Season 18 Launch

Let’s be honest; Katy Perry is the kind of woman who can do anything. She can sing, she can dance, she can design some of the coolest shoes in the business, she can win over the heart of Orlando Bloom, and she’s also an impressive TV judge.

Making an entrance

Yes, although Katy has one of the busiest schedules of anyone else in the music industry, she still makes time every single year to stand alongside Lionel Richie and Luke Bryan as a judge on American Idol. On February 12, these famous and fabulous judges all made their way to the Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel for the premiere event – and there’s no doubt about the fact that Katy made an entrance.

Pretty in pink

As someone who loves fashion and even owns her own fashion brand, it should come as no surprise to learn that Katy Perry dazzled on the blue carpet. Wearing a pastel pink dress with a polka-dot pattern, winged sleeves, and a tie waist, it not only accentuated her curves, but also showed off the fact that she often likes to play with different cuts and different styles. After all, she’s the woman who dressed as a cupcake for a music video!

The perfect waves

However, Katy also made sure that her hair looked on point for the event, and she debuted a much shorter blonde bob to what we’re used to seeing from her. As well as getting the chop, her hair was also styled with finger waves that are reminiscent of the “Roaring 20s.” These waves framed her face perfectly and even showed off the colorful earrings that she chose to wear for the evening. While the two men by her side were dressed very eloquently, there’s no doubt about the fact that Katy was dressed to impress – and that’s exactly what she did. In fact, we’d like to borrow that dress…

With such an impressive outfit for the premiere event, we can’t wait to see what fashion choices Katy will bring to the judging panel.
