If there is one person that can be thought of as the father of the goth subculture, it’s Robert Smith. His band, The Cure, helped bring both goth music and the goth look to a wider audience. Smith in particular is known for his interesting fashion choices, often opting for wild hair looks and dark makeup.
While his look is decidedly more toned down at his wedding with longtime girlfriend Mary Poole, you can see that he still couldn’t resist putting on a bit of a show with eye-catching lipstick. These two goth lovebirds are still together!
